Cracking the Kingdom Code

Day 54 (Category: Kingdom of God)

Today’s Reading: Num. 5-6 & Mark 4:1-20

Today’s Reflection: Mark 4:11 And he said unto them, Unto you it is given to know the mystery of the kingdom of God: but unto them that are without, all these things are done in parables:

There is an understanding of scriptures that only comes to those who receive Christ and His Word by faith. It is almost as if the truths of God’s Word are written in some sort of code language, only to be understood by those who are given the keys of understanding. I would like to call this the “Kingdom Code”. Christ here plainly says to His disciples that unto them it is given to KNOW the MYSTERY of the kingdom of God, or in other words, for the mystery to be revealed to them. Then He distinguishes His disciples from “them that are without”, meaning, those who are not in the Kingdom of God. You see, in Christ’s teachings, particularly in Luke 10:9, He reveals to His disciples that to those who receive their ministry and message, “The kingdom of God is come nigh unto you.” In Romans 14:17, the Word says, “For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost.” Therefore, after careful observation of these passages, as well as others, we understand that we enter into the Kingdom of God through faith in our Lord Jesus Christ, Who is the embodiment of the Righteousness of God. Once having done so, we are given the Holy Spirit, who then begins to lead us and to guide us into ALL truth. In other words, He becomes our teacher, whereby we are given the understanding of the Scriptures. Only then does the “Kingdom Code” begin to be revealed to us, as we study the scriptures and as the Holy Spirit opens up our understanding of them. This would explain why the unbeliever does not and cannot understand the Bible at all on a spiritual level. He or she may grasp some historical data and facts from the text, but the true meaning and application will not be known without first receiving “with meekness the engrafted word, which is able to save your souls” (James 1:21). However, for those of us who are truly born again, we have the Spirit of truth guiding us and teaching us the Word of God (see John 16:13). We therefore live by a different code…the Kingdom Code! We walk by faith, not by sight (2 Cor. 5:7), and that’s why we build our faith by HEARING the Word of God (Romans 10:17). When WE hear the Word, we hear not with the natural ear, but with the spiritual ear (see John 10:27). That’s why Rev. 2 says, “he that hath an ear, let him hear…” If you want the ear to hear The Spirit, receive Christ by faith today! Tell me, do you hear what I hear? If not, you can!
